Today the Swedish Council for Higher Education launched our web service for the recognition of foreign qualifications in English. We have over 700 qualifications from 50 countries and will add more countries soon. This helps match recent arrivals in Sweden with employers who need their skills. Since launching last year, the Swedish version of the Qualifications Assessment Tool has attracted approx. 20 000 site visits and resulted in over 1000 downloaded assessments per month. We expect the number will grow now that the tool is also available in English. This is, of course, on top of 20 000+ individual recognition statements we issue every year. The top three countries in terms of downloads are Syria, Iraq and the UK.
