Various sources and channels of information have gained visibility for users, in function of needs and interests, and country / regional context. In this toolkit we discuss the main types of sources below, and this Station 6 focuses on lifelong career information and guidance.

Figure 2 shows important dimensions and tools associated with the six sources, without prioritising them. The importance of each source may vary, in function of the needs and interests of different users: learners tend to have greater interest in career guidance than in occupational profiles, while employers have more frequent interaction with job portals and use information from occupational standards / profiles.
