What is, in your opinion, the future role of teachers and trainers? from teaching to supporting learning, teachers are shaping and delivering new and innovative curricula. How should teachers and trainers preparing themselves for their new roles? Is continuing professional development and collaboration the answer? Let’s discuss the challenges in your countries.
Thanks a lot for the reply 213 , but what exactly has to be changed in the preparation of teachers?
And a second question: is it mainly about teaching digital skills or is it about the new role of teachers (as we've mentioned during the conference) as learning process managers?
Thank you Maria!
We have learned a lot from each other during the two day conference.
Yes, you are right it is already high time to rethink the role of teacher in the classroom since child has access to high volume of information about everything. Now teachers should serve as a navigator, as you said, not like a boss in the classroom. Moreover, teachers, in general education system, should focus on teaching "how to learn" and pupils will choose what to learn.
Let's discuss here all other aspects of the topic.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The ecosystem is a metaphor borrowed from biology to explain how different interlocutors and environment interact.
In this ecosystem here are individual learners, workers and job-seekers, professionals in every area of lifelong learning and lifelong guidance, the policy makers and government institutions, social partners, employers, sector and regional bodies – they are structural parts of what is commonly known as the ‘skills ecosystem’.
