last week we've launched another poll on our social media with one simple question - "Do you think your job will still exist in 20 years' time?"
The results are quite astonishing. More than a half of the respondents believe that their job will not exist on the labor market by 2040.

Since entrepreneurship as key competence (see EntreComp https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/publication/eur-scientific-and-technical-re…) includes more than just financial and economic literacy, but also social and personal competence, including motivation, self-awareness, creativity and team working skills (to name some of the most important ones), the use of ACTIVE teaching and learning methods is required for their development in contrast to traditional teacher instruction. Hence, letting students work in pairs or small groups, collaboratively, contributes to the development of social and personal competence, which is crucial for the development of an entrepreneurial mind-set. The term mind-set already highlights that being entrepreneurial is about behaviour not just knowledge. Therefore, the role of the teacher or trainer to design a conducive learning environment based on solid pedagogical competence is crucial (See EntreComp Edu http://entrecompedu.eu/ and teachers’ guide file:///C:/Users/fka/Downloads/Guide_Entrepreneurship%20Education_2014_EN.pdf). Jobs will exist in 20 years to include new ones. The difference will be that DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION will govern how we DESIGN good and services - how we MAKE things and PROVIDE services - and, how we USE goods and services THAT'S ALL. so we must get moving on the issue of digital transformation in work and living.

We've recently done a poll on ETF social media (Facebook and Twitter) on how people did get their last job - via online sources or offline.
And here comes the result.
To tell you the truth, I'm a little bit surprised, because the online modality takes only a 40-50% of the total.
Talking about my own experience, I've never managed to find a job if not via online resources (announcements on the job portal etc.).

Dear 65 , Indeed. Thanks! Just as a matter of curiosity, I had a look at the demographics in our social media, and 41% of our followers are coming from EU Neighbourhood, while 53% comes from the EU. So it could be one of the reasons.

hi Jon, your work sounds very interesting! what technology/taxonomy do you use to make sense of the data?We have developed ESCO- an EU taxonomy of skills and occupations that can be used for big data analysis of skills demand and supply (already in use by CEDEFOP).
