Israel was selected as first pilot to implement our new methodology on documenting skills demand change in specific economic sectors. The agri-tech sector is the one selected for Israel.
Very interesting preliminary findings will be shared with Israeli counterparts through a digital event and a country report will be published soon. It will be of course also posted here in Open Space!

Thank you Lida, very interesting article on the impact of COVID-19 in low-income countries. And even if low-income countries have not be hit yet (hopefully never) by COVID-19, this could be for the World Bank and donors to turn their interventions into digital education and training, bearing in mind that the most common interface will be a smartphone and internet connection using a poor and highly costly mobile network, two relevant constraints.
I think this is a great opportunity to upgrade our educational systems and to weed out all the unnecessary things - I refer mostly to the traditional schooling, also is a good chance to adapt the metrics on how we measure skills and performance in these new circumstances
