Virtual networks are relatively common among vocational teachers in Europe.    Virtual Networks can have the following functions:

  • Sharing news about events, publications, policy developments – nationally and internationally
  • Sharing and reflecting upon practice
  • Networking – sustaining and encouraging relationships between participants
  • Signalling opportunities, for example, for professional development, for funding, for partnerships
  • On line learning, for example, through videos or webinars
  • Valorisation of experiences and practice

The ETF, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and other agencies and stakeholders, has undertaken research in Montenegro to map and evaluate existing virtual networks for vocational teachers and also to explore alternative options to take forward a pilot development in 2017 and beyond.
