Dear 2379 thanks for mentioning lifelong learning! That is really our focus when working with all countries. It is no longer about initial education only, people needs to be employable but also to remain employable in the long time. They need to be equipped with the skills that allow them to enter in the labour market after school but also to transit from job to job in the course of their life. And they also need support for that.
As you have a very long time experience both in the Balkans and in SEMED, it would be great to hear your opinion about similarities and differences re-the youth situation and possible actions for support. In ETF we have worked a lot in 2020 about the youth topic in these different regions. We are now planning an internal reflection to exactly explore these topics and understand if mutual learning from the two regions can be envisaged (there are surely many common points but also differences, and maybe some solutions may also be common, while others would be much more context specific). Très belle discussion entre experts: messieurs Jaouani, Bâati et Mahfoudhi. Personnellement, j'ai eu l'honneur de visiter le centre dans le cadre d'une étude de la qualité de formation vue par les apprenants, que mène la direction de l'évaluation et de la qualité dans la formation. Il s'agit d'un centre qui nous fait fierté par l'expertise de son personnel et son professionnalisme ( je cite en particulier le directeur Mr Mahfoudhi et les formateurs chevronnés Mr Guelbi et Mr Amine). C'est parmi les rares centres qui se préoccupaient de l'indicateur "insertion des diplômés" et qui pensent à la flexibilité des parcours. Et particulièrement, sur ce dernier point qu'un travail de concertation avec le CENAFFIF et le ministère s'impose. Il faudrait adapter davantage les besoins en compétences avec ce qu'on fournit comme réponse en termes de formation.
