Capitalizing on the current need for distance learning during the COVID-19 crisis and the need to keep learners motivated, engaged and ensure learning takes place, the following themes are to be addressed in this webinar: innovating traditional teaching styles and learning cultures in support of moving from a teacher- to a learner-centred learning approach, practical tips & tricks for teachers to facilitate learner activity, collaboration and interaction on a task as well as learner-teacher interaction – for distance and face-to-face learning. While addressing this issues, speakers will take into consideration alternatives to usual VET practical lessons and work-based learning during distance learning, national policy level support to increase learner activity, collaboration and interaction for distance and face-to-face learning, tools including the use of digital technology to facilitate learner activity, collaboration and interaction on a task as well as learner-teacher interaction, and social inclusion and equity as cross cutting issue.
The particular intention of the webinar is to identify solutions to problems of various stakeholders involved in ensuring and increasing learner activity, interaction and collaboration for distance and face-to-face learning. Panellists will therefore discuss possible solutions to pre-identified challenges and questions communicated to ETF before the webinar but also during the webinar to make this a targeted support event.
