I'm Ioana and I help speakers of all levels of experience prepare their talks. I've been involved with TEDxTalks, eHealth conferences, and startup pitches, and I run a community called The Speaker Coaching Diaries (https://www.speakercoachingdiaries.com/) where I share little sneak peeks and backstage stories from my encounters with different speakers. I feel extremely privileged to be able to contribute this way to the work of the ETF!
In addition to speaker coaching, I'm now coordinating the activities of a group of 5 writers who will be reporting on ETF projects and events.

I'm originally Romanian and I've been living in Denmark for the last 2 years. I'm passionate about lifelong learning and I myself am a living example of on-the-job training, so I look very much forward to spreading all the wonderful stories that I will discover through the ETF.

I would love to read a few stories of first public speaking experiences, if some of you would like to share those :)

Dear 180 , thanks a lot for presenting yourself and welcome again to ETF Open Space.

I remember quite well (unfortunately) my first experience of public speaking, I was 23 and I was working for one NGO that was helping refugees and asylum seekers. And I was asked to go to one international seminar to present the NGO,
I was so nervous I was reading nearly 99% of the time, and I remember quite clearly that the impact of my speech on the audience was close to zero (most of the participants were with their laptops doing their stuff). Good old times :)

Now, I'm passing the challenge to 183 who is very experienced lecturer from Georgia, and excellent public speaker, Merab, do you remember your first public speaking experience?
