The college was founded in 1970 as Trade and Economic Technical College with the specialties. RENAMED LORI REGIONAL STATE COLLEGE (LRSC) since 2011.

The College has a Career Center 
Main Objectives

• increasing the competitiveness of students graduates in the labor market

• counseling career education and guidance services
• helping in further professional life.

At the beginning of the project, a solar power plant was installed in the College by the Student Company. Later, in addition to the solar energy plants, we also installed solar water heaters in various communities 
    Garment production (sewing and patterning)

The college cooperates with more than 50 local employers, different associations and NGOs, a number of Universities of the Republic of Armenia, also with the British Council and the University of Plymouth of UK.

Within the frames of the German project GIZ, the college implemented a DUAL project with 3 professions: - mechatronics, robotics and tourism. Also in the result of partnership with Business and Education Foundation (BIP) we established Student Companies. 
The College staff has been trained in European Countries.
In 2022 the College participated in Skillman International forum - SIF 2022.
Besides In 2023 January  we started two three-year grant projects of Erazmus + program:
1.   BEM - Beyond Europe with Micro-credentials
2.   S.E.VET - Developing Social Entrepreneurship schemes for VET institutions in Neighborhood East.
