About 

The DIGI ENE Initiative for digital excellence is the follow up of the Digitalisation in education and the role of Centres of Excellence | Open Space (europa.eu) lunched in 2022 under the ETF NETWORK FOR EXCELLENCE | Open Space (europa.eu)

DIGI ENE is gathering Centres of Excellence who have achieved good results in the introduction of digital teaching and learning, are committed to continuing improving in this area and willing to engage in peer learning activities with other members of the thematic group.

Key objectives of the initiative for 2024:

  • encourage collaboration of ENE members on digital excellence,
  • provide the opportunity for the interested members to further develop their expertise in the area of digital teaching and learning through peer learning and capacity building actions,
  • increase knowledge, understanding and skills related to digital teaching and learning of the CoVEs participating in the digital excellence sub-initiative,
  • share the expertise of the sub-initiative on digital excellence with the broader ENE Network.

What is our work programme? Highlights for 2024 

FOCUS of the DIGI ENE Initiative for digital excellence: Peer learning in the area of digital teaching and learning through the following activities: 

  1. Organization of online peer learning meetings among the members of the group on Digital Excellence with the aim to give value and boost the importance of knowledge sharing inside professional learning communities, support and work with each other, and together learn new and better approaches to support all students’ learning. COVEs who expressed their interest in this initiative will present their practices. The online sessions will create a platform for condivision, discussion, reflection and co-creation among the participants. 

    1st October 2024 - First peer learning meeting, which aims at creating the opportunity for the members of DIGI ENE to meet each other, to have a closer look at the content of the study visit in Madrid and to learn from the successful experience of Centres of Excellence.     November 14th - second peer learning meeting, which aims at fostering innovation at the level of Vocational Schools and Training Centres & facilitating reflection on the individual needs and transfer of knowledge.     December 16th - third peer learning meeting, which aims at joint reflection about the core elements facilitating digital transformation in education and at sharing case studies from national context.     2. Organisation of a Study visit to Madrid (Spain). This face - to - face peer learning activity is addressed to a small group of members of the initiative (Centres of Vocational Excellence who showcased their practice’ results ​​in the real-life implementation of digital teaching and learning). The Study Visit will provide an immersive experience to the participants, facilitating networking with other practitioners (through the participation to the All-Digital conference); encouraging reflection on the individual needs and transfer of knowledge (through study visits at hosting partner institutions & co-design sessions for collective knowledge sharing). 

    Participants are going to become CHANGE AGENTS, act as multiplicators of innovation, ready to transfer and scale-up new knowledge in their educational context (local/national) in their schools (considered as professional learning communities).  Read more about the Study Visit

     

    3. Communication & Networking activities among members of the initiative, facilitation activities fostering exchange of practices. This activity includes promotional activities aiming at engaging interested ENE members in collaboration on digital excellence and dissemination of the results.

In 2025 we will be sharing the experience of the DIGI ENE initiative to the whole ENE network trough webinars and other activities.

Read more about the ETF Network for Excellence (ENE): launched in 2020 and is intended to encourage the sharing of ideas, practices and experience between centres of vocational excellence at both national and international levels.
