African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF) is in development! The inaugural workshop of 2-4/September 2019 took place in Addis-Ababa, at headquarters of the African Union Commission, with 75 very active participants from 35 AU Member States, the African social partners, All-Africa Students Union, African Curriculum Association, and all key education sector associations and councils. The AU Commissioner for HRST, Prof Sarah Anyang Agbor and the Deputy Head of EU Delegation to AU opened the workshop, underlining that the African Union and its Member States have decided to equip the continent with the necessary conditions and mechanisms to facilitate mobility and transparency of skills and qualifications, in support of the AU Agenda 2063. The ACQF is a vital policy that will contribute to this closer African integration. The EU supports the development of ACQF, in line with Action 4 of the Africa-Europe Alliance for Sustainable Investment and Jobs, adopted in Sept 2018. ETF is involved! Project runs form mid 2019-mid 2022.
