African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF): the mapping phase is getting close to completion (end September 2020) and the first group of countries and Regional Qualifications Frameworks' reports has been published today by the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD).
Take at look at: https://www.nepad.org/skillsportalforyouth/publication/african-continen…

The ACQF is a vital policy initiative of the African Union, aimed to enhance transparency and portability of qualifications of all sub-systems and levels of education and training, to align with national and regional qualifications frameworks and finally to contribute to the Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA) 2025 and the continental integration agenda of the African Continental Free Trade Area. The ACQF is in development (2019-2022), in a process supported by the EU, GIZ and ETF.

To build on a well-grounded evidence base, the AQCF process started with a continental mapping study exploring the state-of-pay and perspectives of qualifications frameworks and systems. A collection of national and REC reports has emerged, useful for reference and sharing among peer institutions and stakeholders, which you can access here: Angola, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, SADC, EAC, ECOWAS. For some of these countries this is the first ever specific publication on their qualifications frameworks in the international literature (Angola, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Mozambique, Senegal, Togo). The full set of reports, including comprehensive and synthesis reports, will be available by end September 2020.

Peer learning activities continue in September and October, creating bridges and common understanding on national and regional qualifications frameworks and systems.
