This report presents findings from the research identifying 11 key features of lifelong guidance systems in the EU, lifelong guidance actors and innovations in practice. Some conclusions and recommendations are also presented.
Lifelong guidance policies and practices are viewed as crucial parts of current policy initiatives around validation of learning and the Pillar of Social Rights.
The research was undertaken by Dr Sally-Anne Barnes, Professor Jenny Bimrose and Professor Alan Brown from the Institute of Employment Research at the University of Warwick, and Dr 271 and 252 from the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä.
