Hoolley/Sultana&Thomsen argue that governments need to recognise that now is a critical time to support career guidance, because people’s careers are being critically disrupted by the virus. But, they go on to argue, that managing a crisis is not enough. Career guidance also has to help people to understand the way in which politics and power are shaping the post-coronavirus world. In such a situation, we need to be thinking about how we can make the new normal a more just, humane and sustainable world.
