Tophane Center of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) operates under the Quality and Monitoring Department of Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education and is based at Tophane Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Bursa. It focuses on strengthening the link between vocational education and the manufacturing sector, particularly in Machinery, Industrial Automation, Plastics Technologies and Metallurgical Technologies. The center provides industry-aligned training and competence development for VET teachers, recent graduates, technicians, adult learners and business professionals. A key priority is the continuous professional development of VET teachers, supported through specialised training that helps educators keep pace with industrial processes, digital tools and emerging technologies.
Tophane CoVE works closely with universities, public authorities, SMEs and industrial companies to co-design curricula, deliver practical workshops, organise innovation-oriented events and implement development activities. It also designs and implements national and international Erasmus+ VET projects, promoting cross-border cooperation and supporting the modernisation of vocational education. Through these activities, the center contributes to workforce development, technological innovation and the improvement of VET quality and labour-market relevance in Türkiye.
