Tophane Center of Vocational Excellence (CoVE), operating under the Quality and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of National Education, is a leading regional hub established within Tophane Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Bursa. The center is dedicated to strengthening the link between vocational education and the needs of the manufacturing sector, with a focus on Machinery, Industrial Automation, Plastics Technologies, and Metallurgical Technologies. Tophane CoVE provides high-quality, industry-aligned training and competence development programs for VET teachers, recent graduates, technicians, adult learners, and business professionals. A central mission of the center is to enhance the continuous professional development of vocational teachers. To this end, Tophane CoVE regularly organizes specialized training for VET teachers in the fields of Machinery, Plastics, and Metallurgical Technologies, helping educators stay current with industrial processes, digital tools, and emerging technologies at a national level. The center collaborates extensively with universities, public authorities, SMEs, and leading industrial companies to co-design curricula, deliver applied workshops, host innovation-oriented events, and implement development activities. In addition, Tophane CoVE both designs and implements national and international Erasmus+ VET projects, strengthening cross-border cooperation and contributing to the modernization of vocational education systems. Through these activities, Tophane CoVE supports workforce development, drives technological transformation, and elevates the quality, relevance, and excellence of vocational education in Türkiye.
