Interested in knowing more about how the private sector could support youth skills development for social inclusion in the SEET Region?
The European Training Foundation (ETF) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are organising, on the 9th November 2020, the online event “The Role of the Private Sector in the Youth Skills Ecosystem in South Eastern Europe and Turkey - How to promote Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Skills", as part of the VET Skills Week.
The aim of the event is to discuss and share concrete ongoing work on promoting skills development carried out by the private and public sector representatives from South Eastern Europe and Turkey. Whilst private sector organisations define their future of work strategies, effort must be invested into designing, delivering and financing innovative approaches to education and skills development for all, targeting also underserved groups, to support greater transition into employment and reducing the likelihood of future levels of high unemployment.
In order to truly ensure there is a place for all in the future of work, private, public, academic and non-profit organisations must work closely in partnership to collaboratively define what the present and future of skills must look like.
The ultimate aim is also to facilitate multi stakeholder partnerships aimed at extending the regional network by bringing together organisations of different scales to work together to design, deliver and learn from each other’s experiences of innovative approaches to inclusion and the future of work.
