What we see in the picture is Doshakcha, one of the types of artistic embroidery related to the ancient historical roots and traditions of the Azerbaijani people. Doshakcha has been used as a decorative handicraft in Azerbaijan since ancient times. More geometric elements were used in the Doshakcha. These are triangle, square, rectangle, circle... So I integrated doşakça into the STEAM kit.
Here, students combine the wooden figures by matching them according to colors and geometric elements, and as a result, Doshakcha is created.
The goal is to introduce a fun and engaging approach to STEAM education, develop children’s creativity, problem-solving, and create a supportive learning environment for all students.
