The Challenge Addressed
The practice I chose to implement during the two school events was the combination of visualization, music, games, and interactivity, along with this non-formal educational process.
The challenge my practice contributes to solve is the youth indifference and apathy, when it comes to politics and decision-making processes, such as the European Parliamentary Elections.
Why the Practice is Innovative
The reason why the practice is innovative is because it combines interdisciplinary sectors, like new technologies, arts, and games.
The Role of the Teacher/Trainer
My role -apart from organizing and presenting the events- was to be the facilitator, embracing the participation of the students, making the whole event be more participatory.
The Type of Learning Activities
The project included a PowerPoint presentation, a projector, microphones, useful links and a QR code, as well as a Kahoot quiz game, accesible by students through their mobile phones.
Potential for Replication
Last, but not least, the method is easy to be implemented anywhere else, as long as there is a stable internet connection, electricity, and lust for learning.
