On 14 December, our last webinar of the year took place. This event focused on the recent developments in skills mobility and talent management within the EU, in the framework of the European Year of Skills.
During this webinar, the ETF provided a brief overview of the EU Talent Pool and the EU Talent Partnerships introduced in the recently released “Skills and Talent Mobility Package”. These initiatives aim to facilitate labour mobility from non-EU countries and the recognition of qualifications for third-country nationals.
Following this, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) presented the key findings from the EU-funded THAMM programme. THAMM is a sub-regional project on workers' mobility targeting North African countries. Additionally, the Dutch public employment service (UWV) shared insights into Dutch skill shortages within the broader European context.
The webinar concluded with an informal networking session, allowing participants to engage with speakers and fellow attendees.
