European Training Foundation (ETF) together with ENABEL – the Belgian Development Agency organised an international conference: “The Role of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in VET in Africa." The conference took place from 25 to 27 June in Casablanca, Morocco.
The three-day conference:
- provided a platform for discussions and reflections on CoVE policies and practices;
- showcased good practices, tools and other resources on a range of topics such as governance, funding, economic sectors, work-based learning and the green and digital transition;
- facilitated exchange, networking and encourage transnational cooperation, especially between Anglophone and French-speaking countries in Africa as well as between Europe and Africa;
- identified areas where further support or policy advice may be needed.
The programme also included site visits to VET institutions in Morocco to learn about their good practices.
Working languages of the event were English and French.
