The Regional Cooperation Council’s (RCC) Employment and Social Affairs Platform 2 (ESAP 2) Project will present its Study on Youth Employment in the Western Balkans  (Study), with partners from the European Union, Western Balkan governments and youth representatives as guests, at an online event on Monday, 31 May 2021 from 11.30 – 13.15.

The event will be streamed live via RCC You Tube Channel.

The Study provides a comparative analysis of youth employment in six Western Balkan economies (WB 6) and roadmaps related to youth employment and Youth Guarantee Scheme, modelled on the EU Youth Guarantee. The findings confirm that youth unemployment is one of the key development challenges in the region, and set the scene for future policy actions in the WB region.  The Youth Employment Study will be posted on the ESAP webpage on May 31, 2021.

The event is organised by the RCC’s ESAP 2 project in partnership with the  RCC Western Balkan Youth Lab, and will include remarks by the RCC Secretary General, the EC DG EMPL Director,  presentation of key findings of the Study, followed by remarks from the Western Balkan government and youth representatives.
