The European Network on Regional Labour Market Monitoring (EN RLMM) is a long-standing European community bringing together researchers, policy makers, practitioners and labour market observatories interested in understanding how labour market dynamics unfold at the regional and local level. Since its establishment in 2006, the Network has grown to more than 400 members across over 32 countries, creating a space for exchange on new methods, data sources and practical approaches to labour market monitoring.

At the heart of the EN RLMM’s work is the idea that better local and regional labour market intelligence can support better policymaking. Through its Annual Meeting, publications, collaborative projects, newsletters and AI Working Group, the Network helps connect research with practice and encourages mutual learning on issues ranging from skills needs and labour market transitions to the use of new data and analytical tools.

In September 2026, the ETF and the EN RLMM joined forces to establish a dynamic collaboration. This strategic partnership brings together two pioneering networks to exchange knowledge, inspire innovative methodologies, and drive mutual institutional growth.

This online peer learning session will give Skills Lab members an exclusive look into the inner workings of the EN RLMM—its operational frameworks, analytical tools, and conceptual understanding of regional labour market monitoring. Through practical insights and interactive discussions, the peer learning will explore:

  • Network foundations: How the EN RLMM monitors regional labour dynamics across Europe and beyond.

  • Practical insights from Bilbao: Lessons learned from the 2026 topic, "The Effects of Transformation Drivers on Occupations, Job Roles, and Skills."

  • Looking ahead to 2027: An introduction to our joint focus on Youth Transition, followed by an open discussion to co-create initial ideas and priorities together.

You can find the agenda as attachment to this page.

The presentations, a short summary and the webinar recording will be available soon.
