The skills dimension of migration is a key policy item on the agenda of the European Union, of ETF Partner Countries and of the international community. The ETF is actively supporting the production of evidence on labour migration-related phenomena and exchanges among academics and practitioners, to be used as a forward-looking support for policymaking in both the EU and Partner Countries.

The Skills Lab Network of Experts, as a global knowledge community, offers a unique opportunity to achieve this objective through the creation and development of a dedicated MIG Community. After a very successful call for abstracts and first webinar on 17 July 2025, the MIG Community would like to continue its knowledge-sharing activities. This is the second of a series of webinars, where themes are decided among members to ensure that what is presented is relevant for the Community.

This webinar explored the relationship between skills development and migration to build resilience for labour migrants. Four cases were presented.

The webinar agenda and the slides are available as attachments to this page.
