The Skills Development Fund of Palestine is an interesting case of good practice of financing lifelong learning and will help us to understand better:

  • to what extent the financing of Vocational Education and Training and Lifelong Learning is sustainable over time in complex situations
  • what have been the enabling factors for the set-up of the Skills Development Fund
  • what are the key features of a successful governance of the Fund

The discussion will take place on Thursday, 14 July 2022 @10.30-12.00 CEST (online in Zoom).

Such skills funds are really a good practice, some Asian countries already master this by also integrating career guidance into the fund portfolio, knowing its added value to make LLL a reality and knowing that funding of career guidance is a weak point worldwide

Happy to see the continuous improvement made by Palestine in VET and LLL field. The presentation of Nidal today confirm that financing LLL is one of the priorities of the country policy at the present stage and the engagement of the private sector should be a model for other countries #Gladnetwork
