The project GREEN IT for VET providers (GIVE) mainly aims to aims to reduce the environmental impacts of digital learning by supporting green digital skills for VET providers.

The Project has developed a study to assess the environmental impact of digital learning, more specifically in VET. With the results of this study, it helps VET providers in minding their environmental impact when implementing or developing digital learning.

Concrete objectives are to:

- Provide concrete and scientific elements about the life cycle of digital training and its environmental impacts. It takes into consideration pedagogical practices (face-to-face, virtual classes…), pedagogical equipment (LMS, Cloud, etc), pedagogical materials (video, text file, podcasts, etc) and access (streaming, download, or others)

- Support VET providers with technical and pedagogical tools to improve their green digital skills

- Increase VET industry awareness of the environmental impact of massive digitisation

The Project has also developed a digital training course, available in English, French and Portuguese, about sustainable IT and how to reduce carbon footprint related to digital learning.

The event will mark the completion of two years of successful partner cooperation and implementation of the GIVE project, which supports VET providers in participating in both green and digital transitions with awareness of their role.

The project results and objectives are fully aligned with the EU Commission’s priorities regarding the green and digital transitions, as this topic stands right in the middle of these two major topics.

More details about the agenda will be shared soon!
