We are pleased to announce an upcoming event organized by the ETF Global Network for Excellence (ENE), focused on empowering a just transition through the efforts of Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs). ENE supports vocational excellence development in collaboration with over 290 CoVEs from more than 40 countries.
In this Green webinar, held in collaboration with the Priority Area 9 ‘People and Skills’ of the Danube Region Strategy, our goal is to highlight the critical role of vocational excellence in achieving a 'just transition' within regional development and employment. CoVEs, through their specialized knowledge and focused vocational training, play a vital role in steering towards a sustainable and green future, equipping the workforce with the skills needed for economic stability and environmental consciousness.
During the event, we will have presentations from the European Commission and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the EU policies and funding mechanisms for just transition.
We will look into the skills dimension of an ambitious CO2 reduction vision initiative implemented through a green regional partnership in North Jutland, Denmark. And we will have experience sharing from Moldova on public private partnerships in the construction sector and presentation from Ukraine.
Also, we take deep dive into green skills programs from Ireland and the UN Environment Programmes.
The event will provide the following key takeaways:
- Insights into Just Transition policies and updates on European Union and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development measures.
- Illustration of a just transition example based on innovative regional partnerships for CO2 reduction.
- Discussion of practice examples of green skills programs in the construction sector and for energy efficiency.
Join us for this session as we explore the transformative potential of CoVEs in driving vocational excellence towards a just transition into a green future.
