Dear Community!
appinventor.org and MIT App Inventor are excited to invite people of all ages from around the world to join this year’s Global Appathon!
This free, virtual competition challenges participants to use MIT App Inventor to build mobile apps that address real-world problems.
You can participate individually or as a team of up to five people. Whether you're new to app development or an experienced builder, the Global Appathon is an opportunity to put your skills and creativity to work for a cause.
Last year, the Global Appathon brought together 2,176 participants from 141 countries and regions. We can't wait to see what you create this year!
Winners and selected honorable mentions will be invited to present their projects at the MIT App Inventor Global Education Summit in summer 2027.*
Competition Theme
This year's theme is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 17 SDGs address challenges such as poverty, education, health, inequality, and environmental sustainability.
