Politeknika Txorierri is a High School for Science and Technology and Vocational Education and Training (both EQF level 4 and 5) in the Spanish Basque Region. Each year the school provides education for over 450 full time students (ages 15+) and 1000+ adult part time learners with a staff of 48 people. The center provides education on: VET EQF level 4: Machining; Microcomputer Systems and Networks VET EQF level 5: Mechanical Production Scheduling; Mechanical Manufacture Design; Industrial Automation and Robotics; Computer Network Systems Management; Environmental Education; Sales Management VET EQF level 5 Specialisation courses (Masters for VET): Digital Transformation in Industry; Smart Manufacturing; Collaborative Robotics.
Our key strengths include: • Strong focus on digital innovation • Tailored support for SMEs: we participate in Technology Nodes, a key mechanism through which the Basque VET system connects applied research, innovation and skills anticipation. • Sustainability and ESG Focus: the school is ISO 14001 certified in Environmental Management (EMS). Sustainability is integrated in all VET courses as a transversal compulsory module, tailored to the learning outcomes of each VET course. • Interdisciplinary learning approaches: Txorierri has implemented a collaborative learning model based on challenges.
