Politeknika Txorierri is a High School for Science and Technology and Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the Spanish Basque Region, offering programmes at EQF levels 4 and 5. The school provides education to more than 450 full-time students aged 15+ and over 1,000 adult part-time learners, supported by a staff of 48. Its VET offer covers a broad range of technical and professional fields, including Machining, Microcomputer Systems and Networks, Mechanical Production Scheduling, Mechanical Manufacture Design, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Computer Network Systems Management, Environmental Education and Sales Management. The school also provides specialised VET courses in Digital Transformation in Industry, Smart Manufacturing and Collaborative Robotics.
Politeknika Txorierri has a strong focus on digital innovation, sustainability and industry collaboration. It supports SMEs through its participation in Technology Nodes, connecting applied research, innovation and skills anticipation within the Basque VET system. The school is ISO 14001 certified for Environmental Management, and sustainability is integrated as a transversal compulsory module across its VET programmes. Its interdisciplinary, challenge-based learning model enables students to work collaboratively in teams to solve real-life professional challenges and develop practical competences. In addition, the school has extensive European project experience, contributing to international cooperation, innovation and the continuous development of VET provision.
