Khmelnytsky Higher Vocational School No. 25 is a multi-profile vocational education institution that provides high-quality training for specialists to meet the needs of the regional and national economy. The institution was founded in 1987 and, over the years, has established itself in the regional educational market as a leading provider of vocational education and training services. Training of specialists is carried out in accordance with licenses for educational activities in the field of vocational and professional pre-higher education in the following sectors of the economy: • road transport; • electrical engineering and energy; • mechanical engineering and metalworking; • economics and management; • artistic crafts, art, and design; • IT and computer graphics. Educational services for obtaining full or partial professional qualifications are provided to graduates of secondary education institutions, adults, internally displaced persons, and individuals with special educational needs. The total number of learners is 645. The institution provides opportunities for students’ personal development and self-realisation, including participation in the student youth council, sports sections and clubs, regional and national initiatives and projects, volunteer activities, and meaningful leisure. A Qualification Centre, a Career and Career Guidance Centre, and a STEM Education Laboratory operate on the premises of the institution. In cooperation with the Khmelnytsky Energy Cluster NGO, the project “Solar Energy as a Component of the Educational Process” was implemented with the financial support of the European Union. Within the project, a training solar power plant was installed, and programmes were developed for mastering micro-qualifications in the use of solar energy systems in everyday life, the social sphere, and production. Khmelnytsky Higher Vocational School No. 25 employs an experienced and highly professional teaching staff of 64 teachers, including 3 PhDs in Pedagogical Sciences, 34 teachers with the highest qualification category, 37 teachers with honorary titles, and 52 with more than 10 years of teaching experience. Vocational training of qualified specialists is conducted in close cooperation with enterprises. The areas of cooperation include the organisation of industrial training and internships for students, employment of graduates, internships for teachers, development of educational programmes, and joint events. Cooperation has also been established with the Khmelnytsky Regional Employment Centre to develop forecast indicators for state/regional orders and to enhance the professional, career, and entrepreneurial competences of future specialists, meeting both the population’s demand for professional qualifications and the labour market’s need for skilled workers.
