Albania Team in EuroSkills Graz 2021-European Skills Competitions

For Albanian Skills -National Association for Skills Competitions, national skills competitions are a strong platform and voice to help raising the awareness for skills and VET system in the country, as well as the showcase of excellence of talented youngsters in professional skills.

Initiated 7 years ago as a private sector-based organization, the Albanian Skills aimed to give the Albanian young generation an opportunity to exhibit their talents and expose them to a wider audience of skills needed from the private sector. The organization sees the skills competitions as an important step of the career guidance process for young professionals thanks to the introduction of the most relevant labor market needs skills and professional standards during the implementation of the skills competitions.

Throughout the years, the skills competitions are enriched with new disciplines, providing the youngsters from 16 to 25 years old with an opportunity of competing in different fields of their interest.

Last edition in November 2020 gathered more than 150 youngsters as competitors, juries and volunteers and the organization is delighted to have hold the 6^th Edition of Skills Competitions in the country though under the restrictions of the pandemics.

We are excited and can’t wait to have finally the Albania Team competing and working in EuroSkills Graz 2021. The winners of the disciplines: Software Development; Web Development, Entrepreneur in Business, Photograph, Graphic Design and Hotel & Restaurant Services will go to EuroSkills Graz 2021 comprised by two teams: one competition team in the category Entrepreneurship Skills and the other is a team of volunteers to work and contribute in the workshops which close to their qualification. Albania sends the for the first time one competition team in EuroSkills while sending the team of volunteers is for the second time after the successful participation of it in EuroSkills Gothenburg 2016.

Albanian Skills takes the honor and pride to such participation because it is the organization`s vision and at the same time the aspiration of the Albanian talented youngsters to have the opportunity of competing and representing their country Albania internationally. And thanks to EuroSkills organization that dream is coming true!
