I wanted to let you know that places for our conference are filling up fast with over 170 delegates already booked. All our workshop sessions are now confirmed and you can read more detail about them on our programme for the day. We also now have a final programme for the international study day and have summarised this below. Please do book soon if you would like to join us
Our conference “The SCQF: Linking the Learning Journey” on Thursday 22 February 2018 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, Scotland. More information details are available at this link: https://scqf.org.uk/news-blog/news/successful-scqf-conference-linking-the-learning-journey/
The event will provide the opportunity to bring delegates together to hear from a wide range of prominent speakers on issues relating to lifelong learning in Scotland and there will be the chance to attend a variety of engaging workshops showcasing the many ways in which the SCQF is supporting learners in their learning journey.
International Delegates planning to attend the conference will have the opportunity to book an international study package consisting of:
- attendance at the conference on Thursday 22 February
- attendance at a full day study event at the SCQF Partnership offices on Friday 23 February
- an invitation to join a dinner on the evening before the conference attended by conference speakers and representatives from the SCQF Board, Quality Committee and the SCQF Partnership team
The study day will allow delegates to engage in more detailed dialogue around the implementation and varied use of the framework. The day will include:
- Technical information on the structure, systems and quality assurance around the Framework
- The opportunity to hear directly from SCQF Credit Rating Bodies about the benefits of working with the Framework
- Information around the 6 year research programme conducted by the SCQFP and the recent review on impact of the SCQF in Scotland which may be of interest following on from the PLA in November
- Input from the European Commission on the way forward with the EQF and other EU tools
- Input from colleagues in Bahrain and Hong Kong about working with the SCQF Partnership and referencing our Frameworks
Full details on the conference agenda and the programme for the international study day are included in the link at the top of this message and below my contact details at the bottom. We would be delighted if any of you were able to join us in Glasgow for what we believe will be an exciting and informative event and an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues from a wide range of countries and sectors.
