In order to recognise lifelong learning it is important to have the right tools. Learning is moving out of class room on-line and in the workplace. With more and more emphasis on personalised pathways and upskilling it becomes important to have smaller qualifications that can be combined. The Commission has ambitious goals to support upskilling and reskilling and we will see a boom of adult training activities in the next years, in order to help us to address the Post Covid situation and support the green and digital transition.
The European Commission is considering the development of a Recommendation on Micro-Credentials. As a first step it has published a roadmap, and is inviting feedback from citizens and organisations until the end of next week.
