As part of the New Skills Agenda for Europe, the DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission has developed a Skills Profile Tool to support early profiling of the skills of refugees, migrants and other third country nationals. (In the European Union, the term Third Country Nationals refers to individuals who are neither from the EU country in which they are currently living or staying, nor from other EU member states)

The tool is now available for testing. The EC welcomes responses from all individuals, organisations and other stakeholders active in the field of reception and integration of migrants, especially of those working with refugees and asylum seekers. To support the collection of feedback on the tool EC developed a DEMO and a Survey. The tool can also be relevant for ETF partner countries therefore we invite you to test the demo and complete the survey. You will find the links below.

What is the Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals?
•The Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals is intended for use by any services that may be offering assistance services to third country nationals and should be used by an adviser/administrator/counsellor etc in an interview situation with a third country national to get to know the individual, their skills and experiences. The focus of the tool is to help individuals and produce a profile of their skills and any recommendations/next steps. The information collected can be used to assist further assessment, form a basis for offering guidance, identifying up-skilling needs and supporting job-searching and job-matching. The tool is not intended as a recognition or authentication tool.
•The Skills Profile Tool is specifically designed for use by national authorities responsible for reception and integration of refugees, reception centres, employment assistance services, education and training advisers, social services, NGOs and charitable organisations offering services to refugees and other third country nationals.
•The tool will be available in all EU and EEA languages and in Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Sorani and Tigrinya. It will be possible to see two languages at the same time on one screen, reducing language barriers between case workers and the third country national. When information is not available in one of the chosen languages it will be presented in English.
•The tool shall be available as a web-tool for PC and Mobile devices, and possibly in an APP. It will be possible to complete the tool offline and online. Instructions on how to complete the fields are integrated in the tool.

Approach:
1.You can first walk through the DEMO to get an initial impression of the look and feel and functionalities of the Skills Profile Tool. Please note that the DEMO does not contain all the questions but is developed to demonstrate the overall features of the Skills Profile Tool.
2.In case you would like to provide feedback, please use the survey. It gives you the possibility to comment on all the elements of the Skills Profile Tool.

Only the questions marked with ** are mandatory (= Section 1).
You have thus the option to only comment on the questions you feel would need improvement. However feel free to also indicate what you appreciate in the Skills Profile Tool.
