Connecting VET Institutions, sharing expertise and building a stronger Network
On 22 September, ENE welcomed a new group of around 80 participants, representatives of vocational education and training (VET) institutions to an online onboarding session, marking another important step in growing our Network for Excellence (ENE).
The session brought together participants from different countries, backgrounds and VET contexts, creating an opportunity to get to know one another, discover the ETF Network for excellence (ENE) and start exploring the opportunities that come with being part of the Network.
Bringing different experiences together
One of the most inspiring aspects of the session was the diversity of the participants. Each person joined with their own experience, expertise and perspective on vocational education and training.
We were particularly pleased to welcome a strong group of participants from Armenia and Vietnam, alongside colleagues from other countries. Their contributions added valuable perspectives and highlighted the growing interest in connecting VET communities across Europe and beyond.
From introductions to collaboration
The onboarding session was more than an introduction to ENE. It was an opportunity to begin building relationships.
Participants learned more about the Network, its vision and the possibilities for cooperation, while also sharing their own experiences and expectations. The conversations highlighted the importance of cooperation, peer learning and knowledge exchange in creating stronger VET systems.
These exchanges are at the heart of what ENE aims to foster: a network where institutions can connect with peers, learn from different approaches, share expertise and develop new ideas together.

A community that grows through its members
A network is only as strong as the people who make it, and the enthusiasm shown during this onboarding session was a great reminder of that.
Every new member brings something different to ENE - a new experience, a new perspective, a new connection and potentially a new opportunity for collaboration. As the Network continues to grow, these individual contributions will help shape a diverse and dynamic network dedicated to excellence in vocational education and training.
The 22 September onboarding session was therefore not simply a welcome meeting. It was the beginning of new conversations and connections.
