The 4th meeting of the ETF New Learning Club about "Teaching with Artificial Intelligence" was organised on the 2nd of December at 2p.m. CET.
The Club is ideated as a space to grow and inspire educators as well as provide directions for those who want to make a start with AI in teaching practices. Club members work together guided by Content Leaders on a final output of the Club: "AI literacy for teachers". Each meeting includes expert talks and co-creation sessions.

Guest Speakers:
Mairéad Pratschke has been working at the intersection of digital technology and education for 25 years, as a researcher, designer, consultant on digital programmes, author and speaker. She recently published a book on Generative AI and Education, addressing the gap in knowledge around generative AI and its applications in education (Springer 2024, more info here). She is SALC Chair in Digital Education at the University of Manchester; Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics (LSE)’s Data Science Institute (DSI); and Research Fellow at the USA’s National AI Institute for Adult Education and Online Learning (AI-ALOE), where she is also a member of the External Advisory Board. Mairéad holds a PhD from McMaster University in Canada and a master’s degree from KU Leuven in Belgium.
Arjana Blazic is a freelance teacher trainer and course designer, based in Zagreb, Croatia. She has designed and led numerous workshops and online courses for European teachers about the pedagogical use of digital technologies and AI in education. She is a member of the European Commission's expert groups for Digital Education Content and for Explainable AI. She is co-author of the Croatian National Curriculum for English as a Foreign Language and the National Curriculum for the Cross-curricular Use of ICT. In 2023/2024, she led the expert group for developing the Croatian AI curriculum for primary and secondary schools, which is now being implemented experimentally in Croatian schools. Her interests focus on technology-enhanced teaching and learning and the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on teacher professional development.
