Sectors

CoVEs are designed to drive innovation and excellence in teaching and learning, while also improving links to industry and communities. They have been established around industries of particular importance to New Zealand. They involve relevant industry experts (beyond Workforce Development Councils) to ensure the latest industry knowledge and best practice is brought into the CoVE.

ConCOVE brings together the construction and infrastructure workforce, New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, other providers, Workforce Development Councils (WDC), and research to enable all vocational education organisations to have access to more productive, sustainable, and resilient national construction and infrastructure sectors. Website of the New Zealand Construction Centre of Vocational Excellence, ConCOVE connects and aligns industry, learners, and vocational education to re-imagine clear, equitable, and supported career pathways within the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The website has a number of resources, case studies, skills anticipation, a framework to eliminate sexual harrassment, Capabilities and Good Practices of Work-based Trainers and The potential of micro-credentials webinar video.
