Description of the practice:

This practice addresses the challenge of making digital educational content more engaging, accessible, and cost-effective by using 3D characters that deliver scripted information with natural body language and lip-sync. Traditionally, creating animated 3D presenters or characters requires advanced technical skills, expensive software, and significant time investment. Snippets solves this by offering a no-code AI platform that allows educators or trainers to generate talking 3D characters easily and integrate them into Unity projects.

The practice is innovative because it democratises the creation of interactive educational avatars. Educators can focus on the message they want to convey, such as historical context, science concepts, or procedural training, without needing animation or programming expertise. The platform handles animation, voice sync, and body language automatically, making high-quality content production far more efficient.

Teachers and trainers play a key role as content creators and instructional designers. They input the script and select the 3D model, and Snippets takes care of the rest. This enables them to deliver lessons or explanations through engaging characters, whether for virtual field trips, cultural heritage exploration, or STEM instruction.

The learning activities supported by this practice include self-paced modules, interactive lessons, virtual simulations, and gamified education within Unity-based environments. Students can interact with the 3D characters in immersive scenes, deepening understanding through visual and auditory storytelling.

The impact of this practice is significant: it enhances student engagement, supports diverse learning styles (especially visual and auditory learners), and lowers barriers to creating effective digital education content. It also empowers educators across disciplines—regardless of their technical background—to harness the power of interactive 3D media for teaching.
