Setting of the practice: hybrid
Description of the practice:
Designing physical adventure games that provide an immersive learning experience for students from different disciplines to practice their knowledge while working in a team using the 21st century skills. One of the applications was the Escape Room which is designed for language learners in their elementary level to practice their language skills: listening, speaking, and reading in multiple contextualized cultural activities.
Through solving a variety of puzzles at different stages of the game, students are able to use their target language in an authentic atmosphere of interactive communication. The platforms of the adventure game, including the unlocking of two padlocks, will involve the solving of actual puzzles as well as a technology puzzle.
Through working with their teammates, students observe and acquire new skills which lead to language development meanwhile assessing their previous knowledge without feedback from the instructor. Students get the chance to learn at their own pace and following their own learning style throughout this natural reliance on communication and teamwork.

In another application of teaching Electronic Literature, each team creates a digital puzzle for another team with the help of the instructor then they try to solve and discover the puzzle of the other team.
