Description of the practice:

Our mission is to raise a thoughtful, educated, competitive and active citizen equipped with digital skills to meet any challenges of a rapidly changing world.
Accordingly, our goal is to improve the quality of education, to constantly take care of the introduction of new methods of teaching and learning and to construct systematic knowledge, advanced teaching and learning of exact and natural science subjects, the introduction of digital technologies, and the provision of education corresponding to the challenges of the 21st century millennium.
We enhance STEAM education both in the classroom and through club work.
That is why we created a fablab laboratory equipped with the latest technologies at the school, on the basis of which the students' STEAM club functions.
The club is led by experienced students, they are assistants of the trainer (teacher), teaching 2D, 3D modeling to peers who are new to the club's work. Assistants are highly motivated, gain more experience, work together on innovative projects. Here the teacher is already in the role of a facilitator, only watching their work and limiting himself to a few instructions if necessary.
By participating in innovative STEAM projects, students will develop:
Construction of geometric objects when creating 2D and 3D models - modeling, performing algebraic calculations, solving problems arising from daily practice (mathematics);
Investigating the properties of chemical substances while conducting various experiments (chemistry);
Determination of living conditions and planning of the project accordingly (biology);
Debugging various electronic devices during project implementation (physics);
Determining the design of the environment required for the construction of the appropriate model of the project, creating the exterior and interior (art);
Material awareness (promoting environmental awareness by emphasizing the use of recycled materials, investigating the geographical features of the planets while determining the living conditions on them, determining the geographic location when making various educational resources. (e.g. making a puzzle of the map of Georgia and placing grape varieties according to regions on it, painting (biology, art, geography) );
Problem-solving skills (when working on projects, they need to solve problems, make adjustments and find the necessary solutions).
teamwork and cooperation (facilitating cooperation through working in groups of students);
creativity and design thinking (inspiring creativity that allows students to develop their own vision);
Analytical thinking, research ability (they transfer knowledge, develop the ability to use the knowledge acquired in various subjects as needed).

Involvement of students in various projects forms their sense of responsibility, they become more courageous, critical thinkers, therefore they become active citizens.
With the involvement of modern technology and art, students are more interested in mathematics and science subjects.
Integrating multiple disciplines provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how different fields intersect and collaborate.
