Description of the practice:
In vocational high schools in Turkey, students choose a profession in the 9th grade. However, they graduate before they have the opportunity to fully know their profession. This leads to the emergence of a group of alumni who are unhappy and do not like their profession. In order to solve this problem, we started to partner with the company for those who do not know their profession as soon as their students reach the 9th grade in the field of Transportation Services. We have determined a joint work program with the company. Within the scope of this program, our students started to take a vocational course one day a week by practicing in the relevant company. Thus, the sense of belonging to this area has been increased. In addition, students who did not like this field were directed to other fields without wasting time. Together with their teachers, they received the training of the courses they should take at the logistics company, and they also made the application in person. They were trained in a different department each month. At the end of the year, they completed their practical training in all areas of the company.
