Setting of the practice: Hybrid
Description of the practice:
In this Learning Scenario students can make simple HTML pages. They know how to use the Html, Head, and Body tag in the HTML page. Before starting the topic, the teacher asked, "Can we say we already know something about coding?" asks the question. So let's take a look at our coding progress so far. The whole class watches a small 5-minute video from simple tasks to complex designs. Later, the teacher briefly reminds the students of all the lessons they have passed on HTML and implements all this with the discussion and support of the students. Then the discussion about the important tasks and functions of the CSS begins. The teacher presents a new task to the students and learns their first impressions. The teacher wishes the students success and says that he believes that they will be successful this time as well. This means to treat students respectfully, ask politely, and correct kindly.
1.Let's create a Pizza cheese article!
The teacher asked the students, "Who likes pizza?" asks the question. Most of the students raise their hands. So let's code the article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pizza_cheese) about "cheese", one of the most important food in its preparation. Pizza cheese is good article in Wikipedia. Students eagerly start to Google the article and review it. The teacher divides the students into groups to code the article. Each group consists of two students and they are given 45 minutes.
2. Start coding the article
Although students are very interested in coding, the work itself requires high precision and patience. But working with interesting topics and groups for students makes the learning environment faster and more interesting.
3. Coding requires interest and constant searching
Students focus on the given article and each group starts coding HTML and CSS after a small discussion among themselves. The teacher gives them opportunities to explore the correct codes and search the internet.
4. Make Your HTML-Website Suitable for Mobile Devices
Students implement a responsive layout to adapt the given web design to mobile, desktop platforms, i.e. different screen sizes. They then check out the web design on their mobile devices. After the "Pizza cheese" article has been designed by the groups, the teacher asks the students to note down the parts they have difficulty with.
5. We can design
Students eagerly try to submit the task they have completed that requires hard work and attention. Each group explains and presents the HTML and CSS pages they have coded on the whiteboard. Each part is discussed by other group members as they present. The teacher supports the students in the parts where they have difficulty.
6. Artwork exhibition
One leader from each group codes the most perfect version of the "Pizza cheese" article and presents it to other students who are new to design. They come up with a new initiative that they can share their knowledge on other subjects to students who are new to design.
