The BILT webinar series on Career guidance in TVET for lifelong learners is within the scope of the UNESCO-UNEVOC Bridging Innovation and Learning in TVET (BILT) project, contributing to the ‘Towards a Global TVET Agenda’ (TGTA) initiative. This multilateral initiative is led by the German Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) and coordinated by the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB).
Why is career guidance in TVET needed?
Career guidance in TVET plays a vital role in supporting learners to navigate education, employment and lifelong career development. As labour markets continue to evolve, there is a growing need to provide learners with timely guidance and support to make informed career decisions and successfully navigate increasingly complex career pathways.
The series will explore how career guidance can support learners in navigating education, employment and career transitions while contributing to more inclusive, resilient and sustainable TVET systems. The series brings together policymakers, TVET providers, researchers, social partners and international organizations to exchange experiences, showcase innovative practices and discuss policy approaches from different regions of the world.
