On 23rd ITECH and Hacker School organized a Girls Day workshop. 20 girls from general schools at the age of about eleven were trained by female IT apprentices from ITECH.
The workshop was planned by the apprentices together with teachers and representatives of Hacker School, an associated partner of ITECH in the framework of WIN4SMES. Furthermore, the apprentices moderated the workshop.
The event belongs to one task within the project aiming at new ways to get young people interested in vocational training. In addition, that Girls Day has impact on the aim Girls for STEM.
The event will be implemented regularly together with Hacker School.
Feedback of the participants was great.
