Ajuda de Desenvolvimento de Povo para Povo Guiné-Bissau (ADPP-GB) is a national Bissau-Guinean Non-Governmental Organization. The mission of ADPP-GB is to support the people in Guinea-Bissau in general and the neediest communities through economic, social, and cultural development projects. The aim is to increase the well-being of the people through their active participation. Education is all about Learning to Know, to Understand and then use the understanding to Create Change with the people in your community, your Country and in the World at large. That is why ADPP Guinea-Bissau invests in education programs. The ADPP Vocational School, Bissorã: The students and teachers increased their capacity at the ADPP Vocational School Bissorã to include processing facilities, which support resilience in food security, entrepreneurship, farming activities and storage.
ADPP Vocational School continues to offer six courses, operates as a boarding school and welcomes young people from across the country. Its goal is to provide personal and socially comprehensive training and to enhance students' understanding of the various Guinean cultures. The courses have evolved over the years to suit the changing environment and cope with the fundamental changes in demand in Guinea-Bissau. The training, which combines theory and practice, is highly valued. It enables the students to test their newly gained skills by planning and implementing community initiatives that improve people's living conditions. The Vocational School continues to encourage women to enrol in the courses normally occupied by men and encourage by example.
