College "Akhali Talga"

College “Akhali Talga” is a public vocational education institution located in Kobuleti, in the Adjara region of Georgia. With a history dating back to 1963, the college has grown from a traditional technical school into a modern, multi-profile center focused on practical, hands-on training and labor-market–oriented education. Renamed “Akhali Talga” (“New Wave”) in 2012, the institution continues to expand its infrastructure, programs, and international collaborations to meet contemporary educational and industrial demands. The college offers a wide range of vocational programs designed for students of various ages and professional backgrounds. Areas of study include hospitality and tourism, culinary arts, construction, electrical engineering, agriculture, business administration, environmental studies and other fields relevant to regional economic development. In addition to long-term vocational qualifications, the college provides short-term retraining courses that help individuals quickly acquire new skills or shift to different careers. Recent initiatives also include training in renewable energy—particularly solar energy systems—giving students access to modern laboratories, real equipment, and practical installation workshops.
