ETF event "Network of National Databases"

Online, Wednesday, 14th of June 2023 from 10.00 am to 12.45 pm (CEST).

A growing number of countries are developing national qualifications databases. ETF has a project to accelerate the development of national databases of qualifications of partner countries and linking them together in a Network of National Databases. The key idea is to use European tools such as ESCO and the ELM as a basis for these databases, rather than finding country by country solutions.

Work has progressed this year in developing guidelines for the establishment of national databases using an Open Architecture and a proof of concept showing the functionalities of how similar qualifications from different countries could be searched and compared. Cooperation with five countries has taken place to explore how this initiative can support their developments in implementing an operationalising their NQFs. A webinar presents the outcomes of this work.
