The ETF launched GLAD to offer a space to exchange on governance of VET, LLL, Skills development, learn form different countries’ experience, co-organise small activities and engage the diversity of stakeholders in the complex LLL landscape.

As follow-up of the launch on 30 March 2022 and bilateral consultations in April, we now invite our colleagues and experts from the partner countries to discuss jointly how to run the learning and action process at operational level.

In the online meeting on 19 May 2022, we reviewed and validated the skills governance ‘burning questions’, which GLAD network participants have identified.

And here we have our first #GLADnetwork NEWsletter! We hope you enjoy the reading!

Very useful discussion on the topics emerged from the country consultation (see GLAD meetings follow up summary note): some were reinforced (VET governance bodies, VET internationalisation, quality assurance), others added (governance for social inclusion, financing of non-formal and informal learning), others re-confirmed. #GLADnetwork

The debate about the operational modalities highlighted:
- plenary meetings with all countries together are important to shape the network;
- group work according to the areas of interest is important too.
A way forward can be: initiate the exchange of knowledge and practice in plenary, and step by step move to group work as participants fine-tune their specific interest.
First topics to be discussed in plenary:
> governance and social partnership in WBL: what's on in South East Europe
> participatory governance and financing: the Skills Development Fund case in Palestine
> Governance of VET Agencies: the model of Georgia.
