Russian education, which influenced significantly on all former Soviet countries, has lost the most important systemic component - upbringing - that historically accompanied the learning process, which gives rise to multiple conflicts between the actors of the educational process.
The new terminology "Hard Skills and Soft Skills" in vocational education and training has brought confusion to the teachers’ minds. According to their understanding, Hard Skills is the main result of training, and Soft Skills are developed in the process of upbringing through extracurricular work, often by ideological tools. Since the institution of ideology in education has now been destroyed, the teachers turned out to be unprepared to integrate the Soft Skills concept into teaching. They do not understand what the concept is for, why they need to use these skills, how to formulate and develop them.
By the way, the integration of Soft Skills into education has manifested itself as an urgent pedagogical task only in the 21st century. In the 20th century, before the digitalization of education and the emergence of a single educational space in the world, Soviet teachers talked about education in terms of teaching and upbringing.
The battle webinar is designed to draw the attention of the pedagogical community to the problem of conflicts regarding the discrepancy between formal education and the requirements of our time.
